In the old days, he'd have a 12 gauge sawed off Howdah gun, not a stick. Its the same reason why its better to be mugged in Miami than London. The British Commonwealth ain't what it used to be.

Yeah, the dumb $hit is using a stick to fight off a tiger, I'm rooting for the tiger. The gene pool needs some cleaning if he is that stupid.
