Walter Birdsong of Florence Mississippi , known for his fabulous Teflon firearms finishes ..has passed away this morning.

I had not known of him before your post, looked him up. Did damn fine work by all accounts. Too bad, we need little people like him doing the job and making gun ownership just that much more fun.

I hope he had an apprentice, family member, business partner, that can carry on his work. Knowledge and talent at that level, need to be passed on to the next generation.

Walter and I could talk for hours about what he knew about firearms and what I did not know.

With all the real bastards in this world, we have to suffer the loss of a fine man.

I shall miss him.
