Title: Classifieds for leatherworking tools and supplies
Post by: Dalton Masterson on November 20, 2011, 05:32:03 PM
If you have extra tools you don't need, or want to get rid of some old supplies, this is the place.

Please dont list your leather goods here though. Only tools and surplus hardware, please.

"Ya know....If someone is serious about getting into the biz, I have approx 180+ patterns for holsters, all are alloy sheets to hold down on your hide, trace and cut. Also a cutter, enough parts for a line machine (single shaft etc). I have pared down my offerings significantly for some quality of life (fellow holstermakers understand this!).  I also have a boatload of thread etc... I would gladly make a package deal for the budding-leatherdood...

Andy,
Were these the ones on Leatherworker.net awhile back? If so, they looked like nice patterns.
I wouldn't mind a list emailed to me of what you do have available and a price.
Thanks,
DM

Does anyone have a scratch compass they are not needing anymore? I am wanting one, and thought I would check out the fellow leatherworkers before ordering one.

This is the "groover on a wing divider" type tool.

I am doing a few projects that this would really come in handy.
Thanks,
DM

I think Dalton is talking about a stitching groover that is built on a wing divider...I just bought on by Jeremiah Watt....they are not cheap...around $80.00

Go to the website:  ranch2arena.com   and look at HSBT-stitch groover

That is basically what I was talking about. Wow. Thats a nice one.

Here is the Osborne page with the links to the two I was looking at.
http://www.csosborne.com/scompass_1.htm

Basically, I am using my groover now to make 1 set of lines, then set my wing dividers into that groove, and make a mark all around. Then I go back with my swivel knife and cut both lines, then go back and bevel the cuts. It takes awhile to make a nice set of beaded lines, and I dont like the double cut beader blade I have (ceramic)...

If you do have one KT, pm me a price!

Dalton..I answered your question over on the Cas net...IMHO the Jeremiah Watt is better in that you can replace the blades and either insert different sizes or just replace a worn one.  This is the one I just bought about three weeks ago...have'nt tried it yet but it really works well on a sample

All,

Besides the Consew listed above, here are the patterns I have for sale, approx 180 nice alloy patterns in various sizes. I have these on ebay, email me with offers/swaps.

Note: I have some VERY nice dummies, a strap cutter and hand crank cutter for sale, the parts for single shaft line machine as well.

I am trimming the biz down to a few variations of holsters, not 12 billion like I was doing.  If you have an interest in being a holster maker, this is your chance.

If you need photos, ask! Direct contact is : andy@shottist.com

Regards,

Andy
