Title: The Evil Roy Retired
Post by: MikeBjerum on November 24, 2022, 06:54:58 PM
I just read that Cimarron Firearms is retiring the Evil Roy revolver.  Evil Roy, alias Gene Pearcey retired from competitive shooting a while back, so it was deemed appropriate to retire the revolver line.

It was noted that the machine used to mark the serial numbers will only utilize six figures.  All Evil Roys start with "ER", so ER9999 was the last gun made.  The final shipments are on the way, and there will be no more.

Good revolver.  Had one in .357 a few years ago.

OK.  What's the skinny on the Evil Roy.  What was incorporated/special in this model?

Action tuning (slick and tight)
Lighter springs
Front sight and rear notch
Narrower grips

I see about 60 of that model on Gunbroker.  A 5.5" bbl in 45 Colt runs around $725.

I might trade in both of my 1st Gen Vaqueros for a couple of those Evil Roy's.
