Does any manufacturer do the .40 S&W on the 1911 platform?
-
Yes Para Ord Does. I'm sure that others do too but that is one that I know of off hand

Also Les Baer.
Awesome, high quality handguns and rifles.........BUT $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
-
Wilson Combat does as well, if you can afford one. You'll probably find more if you do enough research.

Love my Para 16-40. It's a double stack with an LDA trigger so the purists will argue about it being a 1911.

Springfield and Kimber do.

Why shoot .40 when you have so many choices in guns in .45 ACP? The ammo is about the same price though there is more .40 around my area than .45 right now. Bigger and heavier is always mo'better, IMO...

Thanks for the heads up on Springfield. I went to Kimber's web site & couldn't find anything in .40 S&W.

Yeppers STI is looking good. And the prices are in the relms of reality for me.
