The Denver Area Council of Boy Scouts of America and a gun club were slapped with a lawsuit Wednesday over charity shooting events at the Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch in Elbert County.
Neighbors to the 3,300-acre camp filed the suit claiming three events last summer were noisy and represented a risk to local residents, wildlife and property values.
"They just want to be able to inhabit their property in peace and quiet," said the neighbors' attorney, Lorri Salyards.

How much do you want to bet that all those neighbors built and moved in long AFTER the club was there?
Typical.

I would bet also. Here is a history of the Scout ranch.
Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch is the main camping location of the Denver Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The camp, built in the 1960’s by the U.S. Navy, was a replacement to the original camp, Camp Tahosa.

Reserve MCB 26 was revived and reorganized in 1962 as an element of the Selected Reserve with CDR M. C. WAKEFIELD, CEC, USNR, as Commanding Officer. Headquarters was established in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
At the same time, NCB 27 was being reactivated and reorganized. The organization and activation of RMCB 27 came on 1 April 1962 with CDR M. W. NICEWANDER, CEC, USNR, as Commanding Officer. The original command was located in Gary, Indiana, with eleven detachments in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.
Effective in July 1962, additional Battalion Staff was formed, and the official headquarters was moved to United States Naval Recruit Training Command, Chicago, Illinois. In May 1966, CDR F. N. HARRIS, CEC, USNR, relieved CDR NICEWANDER as Commanding Officer of RMCB 27.
RMCB 26 did not perform battalion annual training duty in 1962 due to the requirements of the Cuban missile crisis.
In 1963 the Battalion deployed to Naval Construction Battalion Center, Davisville, Rhode Island.
In 1964 the Battalion deployed to Marine Corps Base, Camp LeJeune, NC.
In 1965 the Battalion deployed to Naval Construction Battalion Center, Davisville, RI.
In 1966 the Battalion deployed to Peaceful Valley Boy Scout Ranch, Elbert, Colorado

YUP! I knew it!
The Navy doesn't build camps in the middle of the suburbs....the burbs usually work their way out to the camps. So it's a bunch of whiney ex-yuppies. The women probably nursed their kids 'till they were 8 years old and the guys do yoga with the wives to enhance their sensitivity.

Hey now! Go easy on the yoga! No wife involved here - that would take all the fun out of it. You should see some of the hot sweaty babes in MY yoga class!!! ;D ;D ;D

Um if you live next to a shooting range, there is a slight chance that you might actually hear gun fire... its not like the boyscouts are playing around with surpressed weapons... if they are can I join them again?
