Title: iPhone OS 3.0 Software Update

yes I know I am a geek  and allegedly I may know how well it works  ;)
 
the 3.0 Software Update. Available June 17.

a couple of the improvments are

Cut, Copy & Paste
Landscape Keyboard  for email and SMS
MMS
Spotlight Search  ( search anything on the phone )
Voice Memos
Internet Tethering ( Share your Internet connection with your laptop with Internet tethering via Bluetooth or USB   depending on the carrier  Telstra Won't be doing it I understand )

also Apple have the new iPhone 3G S

apart from more storage and faster   the thing I am most intrested in seeing is the digital compass (http://www.apple.com/iphone/iphone-3g-s/maps-compass.html)  it works just like a magnetic needle compass can let you know which way you’re facing with a digital display

The 8-gigabyte iPhone 3G, which came out last year, now costs $99, instead of $199.
When the iPhone debuted two years ago, eager Apple fans had to shell out $499 for a 4-gigabyte version and $599 for 8 gigs.

yea mate  there are a few things you can get  it is $10USD  for the iPod touches to upgrade

Thanks Phil.  Those updates look awesome.  I'll be purchasing the 3.0 when I get off work this evening

I don't have the iPod touch version  just the iPhone  3G   yet ;)
