Only shot two mags through her this morning, as we where busier than hell today, but I can tell you it has a better trigger pull than my Colt or Kimber. And the 2 liter jug left on the range had no chance at 25 yards. Will be able to tell you more about it Wed when I can devote some real time with it.

That is just damn sexy. Congratulations. Looks absolutely perfect.
Love the SS and wood. Reminds me,..

Damn Fine Pistol....

I'm officially jealous.
-
I mean this in a good way. No ill intentions, or offense intended, but, YOU SUCK! ;D
-
Very nice Gunman, if my Kimber ever dies, that would make a good replacement. :D :D
-
NICE looking pistoli !
-
Nice piece!
I love the Commander size 1911......hope it serves you well. :D
-
I wish they would make it in blued steel and without the "Ruger warning" on the bottom of the dust cover. I actually wrote that as a suggestion to their President on Ruger's site.
-
No goofy lock and key system on it right?
Nice find - very nice indeed.
-
A shop I frequent got 3 in yesterday, (Standard Full Size). I'm tempted!
-
Nice! I'd love to have a Commander size. Maybe for Christmas.
-
I agree with FBG; They don't even make to the sales floor at my local gunshop...my name is currently about 5th or 6th on the "first refusal" list. So far no one has refused when one comes in. They have been getting about 1 a month so maybe by fall I won't think you suck quite so much.
-
Congratulations!
I decided to retire my Para LTC and replace it with the Ruger 1911 Commander. It is heavier but I compensate that with a holster that rides a little higher than what I carry normally (OWB). So far I have not had any issues after shooting 500 rounds through it. Let me know how it works for you.

You guys are contagious! This morning I picked up a Ruger SR-1911, (full size). Like many, I've been wanting one, but there were either none to be had, or else they were priced beyond all logic. I'll try to post a few pics in a day or two. I just love the looks of it. Ruger really builds a nice 1911 for the money. I really like the black contrasting small parts. Black and Stainless on a 1911 really look good together. A bit like Stainless steel kitchen appliances and black granite counter tops.

Thanks for the corruption of the innocent...Now on my short list... :P

Attached is a pic of my Commander with a Crimson Trace laser grip and a Mernicle PS6 holster: http://www.mernickleholsters.com/ps/bwcc_6a.html

When I first read this I thought you picked one up as in, "fondle it".
I should have known better. :P

Just a couple of quick pics. I thought it was kind of funny. When I bought my Remington R-1 Stainless I was a bit surprised to see that Remington finally got rid of the cardboard box, and went to a nice green molded plastic carrying case.
When I got the Ruger SR-1911, I was just as surprised to see Ruger had gone from nice plastic carrying cases, to a cardboard box. They did include a small zippered "rug" type case however.

Billt, looks like a nice pistol there. Very striking. One question though: Is that lint or debris on the slide stop, or is it some kind of scratch or casting flaw?

It's lint from either the wipe down cloth I used, or the dogs bed it's sitting on. It's time for a new one of both.
-
Ah, got it. Looks very sharp!
-
Ok so I don't hate Gunman or any of the rest of you anymore. Picked one up today... Armslist to the rescue, NIB and a fair price(at least when compared to local dealers). Cleaned and Lubed and waiting to hit the range tomorrow.

My reply is to the OP and to Marshall
Kudos to both of you ! I am coveting a new commander sized 1911.
Marshall - I love the holster - that looks like a perfect rig and mag pouch. I will look up that brand .
