Title: Leatherwork Sources....
Post by: Dalton Masterson on November 18, 2011, 03:23:30 PM
I will sticky this post and we can use it to keep a specific list of sources for our supplies, other leather forums, etc.

Supplies:
Tandy Leather - basic tools, leather, etc. Most of us started here. http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/en-usd/home/home.aspx
Springfield Leather - Everything that Tandy carries, plus much more. http://springfieldleather.com/

Wicket and Craig - One of the few tanneries in the USA, and you can buy direct from them. http://www.wickett-craig.com/

Other forums:
CASCity Leather Shop - Sister site to this forum... http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php/board,57.0.html
Leatherworker.net - Great resource for leatherworking information.  http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showforum=29

More to come, and feel free to list more. The more we have the better off we all are.

Thanks Dalton   Weaver has a nice assortment of tools, buckles dyes etc and is quite a bit cheaper than Tandy for the same item. The have stamps priced like Tandy or higher like Barry King.. VERY large selection of leather.  KT

I second what KT said. Weaver and Springfield leather are my two main sources. Most of Weaver's tools like mallets, mauls and round knives are Barry King also.

Here is a link for buying directly from CS Osborne

I will also mention that SLC is my primary leather and leatherworking tools and equipment supplier. I do frequently visit the local Chattanooga TLF  most every Saturday Morning but mostly for fellowship, I have several friends and we use tandy as an unofficial leather Guild gathering place.
