Title: Kel-tec sub 2000 gen2
Post by: MAUSERMAN on April 08, 2021, 03:17:01 AM
This afternoon I put money down on a sub 2000 in 9mm. It’s a gen2 with a Glock 19 grip frame. Looks well built just wanted some opinions good or bad. It’s light and easy to stowaway, much handier than the ruger pc carbine. I keep a Glock 19 as my edc so having the mag interchangeability is a plus.

Kel Tec makes good stuff. Their engineering Dept is ahead of most of the industry.

Michael has a "Triggered" video about road guns ( https://www.michaelbane.tv/the-best-road-guns-for-long-lonesome-highways/48477/ (https://www.michaelbane.tv/the-best-road-guns-for-long-lonesome-highways/48477/) ) and speaks well of the Kel-Tec.  He also mentions some aftermarket kit for it that seems good and compares Gen1 with Gen2.

I'd like to have one to put under the truck console but they are too many $$$'s for me right now.

I hadn’t seen that episode. Thanks for the heads up. I really liked the points he made and I wished I had purchased on sooner. Now I’m looking for some accessories from mcarbo

Yeah, I don't have time to keep up with them the way I would like to.  So I binge watch every so often.

I had one of the original versions in .40 S&W that used the G22 mags (some used S&W mags, IIRC).
I sold it to use the funds to build an AR pistol, but I wish that I had kept it (nothing against the AR pistol, I just always regret getting rid of the few guns I've ever got rid of).

I think the newer models are better because of more custom options for sights and such.

I’m picking up m6 sub2000 tomorrow. I seriously hate the stupid 10 day waiting period. Good thing my ffl hooked my up with 1000 rounds of 9mm.

The ammo costs more than the firearm, didn't it?

;^)

Ammo>Gun

Yeah that's a travesty.

Ammo>Gun

Yeah that's a travesty.

I just hope it won't be permanent. But on the other hand, that means there is more ammo in the hands of private citizens. That can't be all bad. (I hope).

I have an older Sub-2000 9m, Glock mags. I really like it for a truck gun.

It’s steel case wolf military classic 9mm ball. Yeah it junky but it works. $300 bucks for 1000 rounds of 9mm it’s just sad
