P.S. I like the indicator mark on the spring coil.

I'll grab a couple. But I'll wait until all the hoopla dies out. Then they'll come down in price. Especially from places like CDNN Sports, who sell tons of magazines.

Big Frank:
Here are my transparent/translucent mags. I'm not sure if I have 100 rounds in the Beta C-Mag or only 99. I think it's 99 but I didn't want to open another box of ammo to see if one more round would fit. It looks like I tightened down the cover screws too much and cracked them, but the only way to keep them in place without threadlocker is to really torque them down. And I bought an ATI Schmeisser S60 G2 MLE with windows on it. If you can't see any ammo left in the windows, you're down to less than 30 rounds, but that's all you know for sure. When I laid it in front of the C-Mag it looks longer, but when I put the C-Mag in front, it disappeared, so they're about the same in that dimension. If 60 rounds isn't enough, Tactical Development make the AT-AT 120 Magazine Coupler to couple 2 ATI Schmeisser mags together. They say it should work with the any listed as G2 mags, but the windowed version of this mag, which is a G2, does not work with this. But, stay tuned, they're working on it.

The ATI Schmeisser mag has tool-less disassembly, if you can press the button hard enough without using a tool like a punch. It has a regular follower and follower spring attached to a second, wider follower and round coil spring that's quite stiff. I should have taken a picture of it, but found a video where you can get a quick look at it. I tried loading 10 rounds with a Thermold stripper clip with my Thermold loader, then 10 with a clip and my UpLula StripLula. Neither one of them worked, but they both worked without the stripper clips that work with both loaders on regular mags. After awhile it was too hard to load with either loader, but the 5-round personal loader that came with my C-Mag slammed them home easy as could be.

Big Frank:
I also have two Elite Tactical Systems (ETS)  Carbon Smoke GEN 2 AR-15 mags with Couplers. These are only $16.50, and the clear ones are $21.00. I'd rather have clear mags than smoke, but didn't want to spend $9 more to get a better look at my ammo. The same mags without built-in couplers are $16.50 and $19.00. The smoke nags are the same price but clear ones with couplers are $2 more than clear ones without. They make mag followers for $15.99 with a Tritium dot on the back so you can keep track of your ammo level at night, ang they sell mags with it already in them. They also sell Black, OD Green, and FDE Nylon mags for $12.75 apiece, $2.20 less than a PMAG.

So, here they are from all 4 sides. And in front of the ATI Schmeisser mag, and side by side with it. There's no way these will fit in my mag pouches when their coupled together. And when they're uncoupled, they take up most of the width of a 3 mag pouch, and don't slide in and out very easily. They're okay to carry in a range bag, or to carry in the gun and drop on the ground when they're empty, but not so great for carrying in mag pouches like my ALICE gear.

Keep your eye out and watch Palmetto State Armory. I've purchased the 60 round, quad stack Schmeisser's for as little as $27.99 each. I bought a total of 13 of them at that price.
