Man peg, your wife must be some kind of a cook and baker.  That is an outstanding cake....what a great idea.

Do you ship?

By request of the groom.

Being the design consultant on this project, that was my idea. I had a spent shell and the indention was off-center, so I used a rolling pin with a rounded handle to make the indention.

The gold/brass and silver are done with sugar powder.

She has done some fine cakes.
With my help in the design and layout, our record sized cake was almost seven feet long. It was a replica of a golf hole from tee box to green.

These cakes don't ship, but she has shipped homemade poundcakes several times.

so you are saying the groom can't handle a 12?

I mean 16 I would understand, but 20?

PS I take it he is an upland game hunter.( or really a wuss.)

Very cool.  I like it.  Rates right up there with the armadillo from Steel Magnolias.

Quail, most probably.

The family has a 1300+ acre hunting plantation. I imagine he hunts a variety of game.

I can imagine the looks you get shooting birds with what looks like a deer rifle at first glance. And second glance. And . . .

One time I looked up the downrange ballistics of a .410 slug. Then I looked up a .38 Special, and that's when I realized the .410 slug looks bad compared to nearly anything. It can kill a deer but so can a .22 LR. Neither would be my first choice.
