Title: I got the cooties, its a small world.
Post by: TAB on April 05, 2020, 03:36:40 PM
At the grocery  store with the misses this morning i ran into the1st girl that kissed me.  I was 9, she planted one on me at golden empire elementary  schools play ground at lunch.   I was so sure i was going to die from her cooties.  She is a nurse... you will never guess where.  ::)  Funny how life is.  Not seen her in almost 30 years, now a grown women.  yet i still remembered her face.

That's unbelievable.

No, not that you ran into her.  That you thought you were going to die from cooties!   ;D

Had a similar situation last year. I went with the wife for her regular mammogram at the Women's center in our local hospital. The nurse that did the mammography on her walked out to the waiting room with her to say hi to me. She said she recognized the last name. She was the first girl I ever kissed (playground dare)....way back in kindergarten in the early 70's. We went all the way through to HS graduation in the same class, but hadn't crossed paths since graduation in 1986.

Similar but different.

When I was a young man of my early twenties, I worked at a local bar, slinging suds and booze.

One Friday night, as I reported to work, my coworker pointed to the corner booth of the joint and said someone wanted to talk to me before I began my shift...turns out the four young ladies I'd been dating the last month or so had all graduated from the local HS together...

I survived...

I have a story like that.  In hs was dating two girls.  One very fair, the other very dark.  Went to 2 different high schools, different last names and had 2 different  phone numbers( back when that was a big deal)  i go to pick on up, the other answers the door.  They were step sisters.

Still not sure how i lived thru that

I remember my first kiss.  It was stolen by a girl named Bootsie (Melody).

Back in 1955...my family rented the upstairs of a house and Bootsie was one of the daughters of the house owner.

We kids has just gone to see the Disney movie, "The Lady and The Tramp".  Bootsie, being a year older than me, I was 8, tended to be the leader of our playtime activities and her idea that day was to re-enact the spaghetti scene from the movie.  Even having seen the movie I was not expecting a kiss.

I don't remember my first kiss at all. Where I was, when it was, or anything. A lot of memories of my childhood are either suppressed due to emotional trauma, or erased by physical trauma. While cleaning out my mom's attic, I recently found out I was on the Honors Roll in 9th grade. I don't remember anything about that. If I got any recognition for it from my parents I think I would remember it.

You know what I always hated about getting kisses from Grandma? Too much tongue. :P ;)

Years and years ago I looked up cooties in the dictionary and found out it means lice. I never had cooties but a kid down the street from me did when we were in elementary school.
