Title: Confiscation
Post by: Timothy on January 24, 2018, 05:30:34 PM
So, anyone know of the MA legislation on bump stocks and trigger cranks?

Well, just got a letter from he Commonwealth stating the illegality and surrender of aforementioned toys...grace period, et al...

First to go were AR’s, then this and then what?

As Martin Niemöller might say if he was still alive:

First they came for the ARs, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not an AR owner.

Then they came for the trigger cranks, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trigger crank owner.

Then they came for the bump stocks, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a bump stock owner.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Too many gun owners have been passively watching as one right after another is taken away.

Probably led by our so-called conservative Governor Baker who signed this into law!

Letter says 90 days from 2/1/18 you need to turn them in or face the rope!

This will all amount to a bunch of nothing. Just like the "New York Safe Act" did under that idiot Cuomo. They are currently seeing only 4% compliance. And that's in a state packed with liberals. No one is going door to door, and no one ever will. It would be political suicide for the governor, and physical suicide for anyone dumb enough to start banging on citizens doors to take their weapons. They'll wind up getting them one bullet at a time. People have had just about enough of this stupid bull$h!t.

"Based on an estimate from the National Shooting Sports Federation, about 1 million firearms in New York State meet the law’s assault-weapon criteria, but just 44,000 have been registered. That’s a compliance rate of about 4 percent."

No argument from me, Bill...

Dumb, feel good law..  Charlie looks good to the leftist legislators and most aren’t even aware of the issue.

As for the so called "safe act" there is a large majority of Sheriffs that have said they will NOT enforce it because it's a stupid law.

I was getting ready to post something and searched online to see if anyone else said what I was thinking. Saint Thomas Aquinas beat me to it, and said it better than I could: Lex iniusta non est lex (An unjust law is no law at all).

What will the answer be to proficient shooters?  Do we amputate Jerry's fingers?

Exactly.  Or ban him from owning firearms for life...

While they won't actually set out to go door by door, the authorities will act on it anytime the situation presents itself.

Have it in the car and have an accident?
Have a house fire and the firemen see it?
Got a neighbor who isn't your best friend?
Or a relative for that matter.

Or a pissed off neighbor who knows, or just thinks, you have something like that?
