Well Haz, I had to work at a different shop today, so when I got off I stopped at the local Gander Mountain and lo and behold there was a Ruger 3 screw single six(RSS5X) in the used case. It's unconverted and in about 95% condition. It's supposed to be a convertible but it only has the .22 magnum cylinder. Now forthe good part, it was only $159.99, I put a deposit onit and it will come home with me in a couple weeks(gunporn to follow) I'll check with some of my Ruger contacts to try to find the .22 LR cylinder for it.

WOW!! What a steal! This IS a 'happy birthday' ! "5x" ? Is that the bbl length?

Yes

R=Ruger
S=Single
S=Six
5=5 1/2 inch barrel
X=Convertible .22/.22Mag
