Title: Load Data for ARcomp?
Post by: AE3007H1 on December 15, 2011, 12:29:57 PM
I have been to Allilant's website and they do have a small list for this powder but I am looking to see if anyone has any additional load data to offer on this new ARcomp powder.  Also,  do we have any idea if there is a comparable powder to it out there?

They list bullets from 53gr to 90. What are you looking for?
My wild ass guess is that it's on the slower side of AR powders since it's supposed to best in heavy bullet loadings.

I have a few different projectiles that I can load/need base data for.  The projectiles that I have are as follows:

Hornady  55gr fmj-bt

     ?       55gr fmj-bt

Hornady   60gr V-MAX

?       62gr fmj-bt  green painted tips. "might be removed from surplus ammo"

UPDATE. .

the preliminary test results are that the ARcomp powder shows to have no flyers while Varget, 2460, and Reloader 10x all had occasional flyers.   BL-C(2) shot well also.

1-8 twist,  16" barrel, 60gr Vmax
