And they're "Out Of Stock" at that price, which means it's selling. Check out the prices of some of the other calibers. This is nuts! Bill T.

WOW :o :o :o

I just bought 2 boxes of Blazer Brass @ Megamart for 9 bucks a box.
-
Georgia Arms is still carrying it in the $14.50/50 range. Less for bulk.

Stopped by there Wednesday and they had some in stock.

I have 1,200 rounds of 9 MM Ball on order from Cabela's for under $350.00 delivered. If it comes in somewhat of a timely fashion, I'll order another 2,400 rounds. The price is going nowhere but up. Bill T.

Ammo is just like anything else (gasoline, food)....as long as people are willing to pay the asking price without backing away.....especially if they don't really need it, they will continue to charge exorbitant prices.
-
Copper, brass, and lead prices have steadily fallen over the past year, while ammunition prices have continued to go up. This is driven totally by demand, and has in fact little to do with raw material prices. Bill T.
-
Regardless of demand, or the irrationality of the demand, it is price gouging. I quit using the retailer in question years ago because of poor customer service. It seems their contempt for customers continues unabated. Vote with your feet, people. You know the way to the exits.
-
I went to the Georgia Arms website and it is actually $21.75 /50 for 9mm...
-
The problem with Georgia Arms is 5-7 weeks before shipping, thats a long wait at any price.

In a way I agree. If someone wants to pay a given price for something, it is not the sellers fault for charging too much. Yet that is what usually happens when people get stuck paying too much. When they got screwed on housing prices, it was the banks fault for loaning them the money. Same when they get over extended with credit card debt. People tend to be their own worst enemy when it comes to money and spending. They give in, thinking it is only going to get more expensive. Then like the housing market, somebody gets stuck buying at the top. What are they possibly thinking, that in 2 years 9 MM ammo will be $120.00 a box like Hi-Cap Glock magazines were 18 months after the 94 AWB? I think the same people who bought them for that price are the same ones paying $41.00 a box for 9 MM to put into those $120.00 magazines they bought 14 years ago. Bill T.

A local range here in Palm Beach County, FL is charging 21.95 per box for .38, .40 , 9mm & .45ACP. And you can only use their ammo on the range.

Try Gator Guns in West Palm (they're off military trail and okeechobee blvd.). Their gun prices are absurd but they only want $14 a 50 round box for range ammo (also house only, its a liability insurance thing).

PS Tactical pants are the ones that let you carry an extra 20 rounds ;D

Was at Gander Mountain today in Indianapolis and was going to buy a box of Black Hills .40 Smith and Wesson. They wanted $49.99 for a box of 50. Speer and Remington Express .40 was $59.99 for a box of 50. I bought the Abu Garcia Silver Max baitcasting rod and reel combo for $79.99 instead.... ;D
They were out of 9mm ammo. Some boxes of .45 and plenty of .357, .41 and .44 mag.
-
I just picked up 200 rnds at Wallies today for $46 (out the door). I was shocked because they haven't had any for close to a month. They also had a nice sign saying they can only sell 6 boxes total at a time.
-
Just checked Midway USA and Natches web sites ,both are out of stock on any brand of small pistol primer. :'(
-
Natches has ammo on sale...9mm for $20/50 get it while they got it!
Just ordered 500 myself!

Sportsmans Guide has Fiocchi 9MM Ball in stock for $330.00 a thousand. Not the best price, but not too bad. I ordered a thousand last night and it came to an even $350.00 delivered. Some of their 9MM is back ordered until the end of September! Bill T.

Ammo Engine is still a good starting place so you don't have to visit a lot of web sites to find the best deal.
