Title: Quick Kel-Tec question
Post by: DDMac on March 21, 2008, 01:43:46 PM
While I know Kel-Tec in general gets no love here, they do make OD green framed, small 9mm pistols. THE smallest I think. When I was a kid, I owned, for about 20 minutes, an OD green, parkerized 1911, .45, and I think it was Marine issue. Does anyone know of a PF-9 sized 9mm that is all OD green? Thanks.
Mac.

Well as it is a polymer frame I would think so.

There's always DURA COAT, heck, with polymer you could probably use Testors model paint, although I don't know how thick a layer it lays down.

+1 on DuraCoat...it can all be OD Green, or the color of your choice! Plus, DuraCoat majordomo Steve Lauer is nuts, which is a plus.

Not sure about the "Slim" Taurus, the only other polymer-framed Kel-Tec sized single stack 9mm.

Nothing wrong with the Kel-Tec 9mms if you don't plan to shoot 'em or dry-fire them a lot!

Its not the frame, I know those come in green. Have one in .380. I need it all (slide too) green in 9mm. Have you tried Dura Coat? I need to look them up. I'll check the Taurus too. It would just be a "Get-off-me" gun. Thanks for the lead. Mac.

I've never seen one with the slide and frame green too. It would be cool if they made one.

Only seen the frames in OD.... you would have to paint the slide.

Duracoat does some nifty stuff.

In fact, I might even consider doing this to a Glock someday...

MPPPPPPPPPPFFF.......I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

As for the KT I would think you would have to durakote (sp?) the slide, they make the frames in some freaky colors though.
