Springfield Armory's current promotion:

Buy an XD or XD(m) between now and November 30 and receive THREE (3) additional free magazines and a double mag pouch.

Boys and Girls, that means with your XD you'll get a holster, 5 mags and 2 double mag pouches.  Everything you need to begin competing in IPSC, or IDPA.   (Belt and ammo not included.)

I read somewhere (don't remember where) that all you have to do is contact them with your serial number and they will send/trade you a left handed holster. YMMV. It's worth a phone call.  ???

I called them a couple years ago and asked if they had the package available in a left-handed version.  I was told in no uncertain tones that they didn't.  Could be different now.

I am strongly considering a XDm in 9mm after seeing this promo. I've been curious about them since the came out and got rid of the horribly designed slide the XD had that I couldn't get a grip on. Are the XDms worth the going rate? I'm seeing a range here from $630-$699. Are they really worth it? I would really like to find on in a comparable size to the G19.

Wow that a little hefty pricing.

Plain black XDs are as follows (Two tone and stainless frankinpistols are more)

XD Service (4.5") 9mm is 470
XD Tactical (5") 9mm is 509

XD(m) 4.5" 9mm is 570

The new XDm 5.25 isn't listed yet.

I've had 2 XDs, a 9c and a 45c. I didn't like either one. The contouring of the slide made it hard to get a good grapes on the slide. The XDM felt way better. But, is it all it's cracked up to be?
