And it is a her...being a Lady Smith. Model 65
My original intention is to give it to my wife. She has been showing more interest getting her concealed permit....but...
I kinda like it my self. The single action trigger is the best I have felt in a stock gun...super crisp right at 5lbs

Congrats! I've been looking for one for some time. They were all $400 however.

Great purchase, I'd buy several at that price, I love the 65's, although I like the 3" for the extra ejector rod length. Not a deal breaker, the 2 1/2" have their place too.
Enjoy!!!

cool gun and great price!! :)

Not bad at all!

I decided to take a look inside. Looking at what it would take to reduce the DA pull...New rebound spring.
Not much of a MIM fan, but for the price I have no big complaints...The the whole lock work is MIM except the springs, pins, cylinder hand and safety bar(not in pic). For the finish of the parts, MIM allows for a better trigger pull than cast, for the $. Less/No cost to machine the parts before installation.

You definitely got a beauty there! 8)

Installed a 12lb rebound spring. The SA trigger is a super crisp 3lbs (for a carry gun its a little on the light side) The DA pull is still over 8lbs but light enough that quick trigger pulls are good. Being that the gun would be used in DA if needed in a situation, I don't see an issue with the light SA.
Went out and shot 12 round of 125gr XTP over 8grs of Power Pistol. FPS was around 1060s. Looking for around 1200fps. Back to the loading room...
Thinking about some Crimson Trace Grips LG-306....

Very Nice Find.. She does look like a keeper,
I am currently using a ruger sp101 as a carry gun.
I need to get a few things touched up on it
to make it just right..

WOW :o
That is a great deal on a great gun. I picked one up this fall. I did some trading for it but the price tag was $395.00. I carry mine once and alwhile and love it.
