One suspect is dead and another hospitalized after a robbery attempt in Cobb county Thursday night.

According to Cobb police two men approached a husband and wife arriving home on Glasgow Road shortly after 8:30 p.m. The men were armed with handguns.

The husband was also armed and he and the two men exchanged gunfire.  All three were wounded.

The husband was taken to Kennestone Hospital and is expected to recover.  The wife was not injured.  One of the suspects was also taken to Kennestone.

The second suspect managed to flee the scene and later showed-up at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta for treatment.

Cobb Police Public Information Officer, Joel Hernandez, confirms that one of the suspects died at the hospital.

Might have ended differently if he wasn't armed. Like two victims found dead from robbery.

I don't think that couple should be allowed to get away with that....if I were the judge, I'd sentence them to thirty days at Rob Pincus' house for "rehabilitation".....  8)

Could happen anytime, anywhere. Although wounded, it certainly could have been far worse for him and his wife.

The BG's??? Too bad....Especially for 1 of them.

Heck, with home invasion on the rise in this area, and instances like Alf posted closely following that, I carry even when I go to the john.......you never can tell these days.

About 6 months ago, down in the Valdosta area, two guys approached a man mowing his yard and robbed him at gunpoint. This crap is everywhere....and the lame-stream media wonders why decent people want to arm themselves.

Been carrying for a couple of years now everywhere. Too bad this guy needs to pratice his shooting skills. He left us with a tax burden.

Yeah, I started carrying while mowing several years ago.

There was one old guy over in Albany (Ga) that got attacked while doing yard work. Two teenage hoodlums jumped the chain-link fence to rob the old man and he went at them with a weed-eater. It made the evening news. One jumped the fence and got away, but the guy hemmed the other up in the corner of the yard and tore his butt up pretty good before the cops got there (neighbor had called them).

I still get tickled thinking about it.

I do it now also.... That little P32 of mine works great for this and it is now also finding itself to be a carry around the house all the time gun too..... Hell, I have even taken a nap on the couch with it in my pocket too.

*I do not endorse taking a nap with a firearm..... "Your mileage may vary"
