Title: Fred Thompson
Post by: m25operator on March 11, 2007, 07:01:38 PM
Keep and eye on Fred Thompson as the next Republican presedential candidate, He has been low key, but has been showing up on radio, filling in for Paul Harvey and commenting on the Mark Levin show. Ex senator from Tennessee, actor whom if you saw him you would know him. As of now, a prosecutor on Law and Order. I have heard him speak many times and may be thinking I like him a whole lot more than Guliani or especially Mc Cain. He is especially disturbed by the trial of Scooter Libby, and sent some of his own money for his defence. He has always espoused the 2nd amendment, but has not commited to run. Any of you Tennesseeans may want to drop him a line and say Please run!!!

He was on a news show this Sunday. Said he is looking at running. I would give him a good close look as a president. Rudi is my 2nd best at the moment. The maraln monro drag queen thing does not help in my humble opinion. Same with the gay dancing thing in the black under pants. Yuck. Plus NY was and still is the pits even after 9/11. I am hesitant for Rudi being president.

Newt or Fred are my choices, don't know if anyone saw the Fox News Half Hour Comedy Show last night, but I like Rush and Ann Coulter for president and vice president.... ::)

Between him and Newt for me.  Fred is less 'cosmetically' more appealing to the sheep than Newt is.

Sorry couldn't help it after seeing Michael's yellow rifle

Are you saying that Fred is LESS appealing than Newt?  I would disagree on that.

One thing is for sure, I will not vote for Rudy or McCain.  If the Republicans can do no better than those two, I am thinking Libertarian.  I don't agree with everything the Libertarians stand for (like legalizing dope), but they are pro-gun all the way.

No, I'm not saying that.  Fred is going to bring less ire from the other side of the aisle is all.  I would have no problem voting for either one.  If Rudy or McCain gets the nomination I'm going to have to write someone in.

Well, I'm down with Fred too. Let's go to his website and tell him to run. Fred run. I think once America see's his face, they will recognize him and say , MAN I've seen that dude before. He speaks, very well, and I think would dominate debates. He has not totally commited yet, remember, the person you want, should not want the job.

Amazing, he actually referred to Barry Goldwater!

Remember Barry Goldwater?

"I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom.

My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution, or that have failed in their purpose, or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial burden.

I will not attempt to discover whether legislation is 'needed' before I have first determined whether it is constitutionally permissible.

And if I should later be attacked for neglecting my constituents' interests, I shall reply that I was informed their main interest is liberty and that in that cause I am doing the very best I can."

- Former Sen. Barry Goldwater (R-Ariz.), "The Conscience of a Conservative"

Title: Fred Thompson--New Gingrich ticket
Post by: Rastus on July 28, 2007, 09:15:38 AM
Fred and Newt would be a good ticket and a great leadership package.  Both, I think, will protect our guns.

Newt has vision...did a lot of good things...screwed up in his personal life despite being a brilliant guy that communicates well with most audiences he is in.  Newt sometimes is misconstrued as talking down as he attempts to get people to think and that ticks off people who don't want to use their brains and Fred would, I think, balance that out.  Newt lacked size 10 gonads needed to keep the government "shut-down" a few extra days back in the 90's...had he stuck to his guns another week or two 10's of millions of drones would have found out that they don't need the government to live and Clinton would have been revealed to those 10's of millions as not relevant.

Fred, from his talk and walk, apparently has the gonads that Newt's perspective and planning need.  Which says Fred needs to be prez and Newt VP.

Every actor needs a good script.

Go team!  Team Infidel (which, by the way is a great t-shirt I picked up at OFASTS, available from a cool kat on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/Team-Infidel-T-Shirt-Size-LG-As-seen-on-Down-Range-TV_W0QQitemZ110151623969QQihZ001QQcategoryZ36074QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)).
