It was cold and raining, then it turned to sleet with 30 MPH+ winds. Now we've got snow and sleet...temp has fallen from 36 at daylight to 26 now.
-
Quite a lovely day here in the Northeast!

Little bit of snow on the ground. Around 40.

-
Cold and blowing snow in Northeast Texas... ;D
-
Sun is playing peek-a-boo with the clouds, cool breeze, temps in the mid to upper 70's, humidity is down, and the windows are open.
But the beer is really cold. 8)

We're warm and snowy.
So far this is turning into "the storm that wasn't" up here. The storm was supposed to track south, just catch the pan handle of Texas, brush Tulsa and Wichita on its eastern edge, and slam right through "Big TT's" and my backyard with 20+ inches. However, radar maps show it went way down into Texas, family in south central KS and eastern KS say they are getting blasted, and it looks like it will catch us with its trailing edge as it passes to our east.
Last night we had six inches, we've been getting flurries today, and we could get another six inches tonight. We were also expecting a drop into the teens today, followed by wind and single digits as the weekend passes. Right now we are at 31, and updates are saying 20's through the weekend, with maybe a low of zero and high in low teens on Wednesday.
Not complaining, but a lot of stuff was canceled due to the forecast. And, the wife's whole family stayed south till it blows by.
-
We're cold and snowy, got about 6-8" last night, a couple more today. Supposed to get more tonight through Saturday plus winds 25+ MPH. I got to run the snow blower for real this morning, rather than the easy break-in and troubleshoot I did a week or so ago on a 4" fall. Especially on the 2' drifts left across the drive by the friendly folks at the City Street Dept.
Typical December day here in the Dakotas.
;D

Drudge Report posted record snow for the upper Midwest is forecast this winter.
Ya' know, Global Warming and all that s***

8) 62˚ and sunny - really comfortable. I can kind of see the snow on the mountains through a haze of smog. First smog I've seen in a long time. It's supposed to be warmer tomorrow. They'll be doing some fake snow at Disneyland.
-
Cool and rainy. 2 days ago it was beautiful and like 70 degrees.
-
No sleet or snow right now....just frozen ice falling down...dang..35 MPH winds 23F and falling.
-
It's sunny and 39 degrees. No white christmas here...................woohoo!! :D

I spent time in your corner of the world, and I don't care how bad it gets up here ... Buena Park ... I ain't comin' back!!!
-
Clear and 40's with 3 or 4 inches of snow on the ground in NH.
-
Snow is partly covering the ground but most has melted already. High and low temps are both around 30. Warmer temps and freezing rain tomorrow. :(
I'm dreaming of a wet Christmas.
-
50* here lastnight and rain turning to sleet and 22*now and blizzard warnings 5 to 9 inches of snow and blowing. :'( :o
-
Got down to the low sixties. The snook didn't start biteing till about 8 am when the water warmed up. Had to use a sink tip line and a slow retrieve. Downside, not cold enough to push the bluefish close enough to the beach for flycasting.
FQ13 who will never again live north of Orlando
PS Merry Christmas. NOT Happy Holidays, but Merry Christmas ;)
-
I've metriculated down to Naples, FL where the low tonight will be in the '60s. Tomorrow will be rainy and in the '70s. My Christmas won't be white, but it will be wet. Shorts and T-shirts for sure. ;D

Ok, it has officially changed here. It is actually just like last night. I just got back from a call, and it took me 45 minutes to go 26 miles. The roads are glazed, the state plows are running and keeping the highway open, but the county plows are not, so lots of drifting on the county roads. Stupid serpentine belts slip when they get snow on them, so lots of dim lights and watching the voltmeter go down and back up. With the sun down the biggest thing is visibility.
As of now, light snow falling, 20 mph winds straight out of the north, and 20 degrees.

In my late Grandads neighborhood a house just sold for $170k. This is compared to the $330 we got for an identical house when my grandad passed 2 years ago. waterfront (canal, but full of bass and bluegills). It's a three bedroom, 2 bath with 12 foot ceiling and a spanish tile roof. You're 3 miles from the ocean and 90 miles from the glades. Plenty of casulties to keep an EMT busy, and gun laws? Oh, yeah, try not to shoot someone who didn't have it coming. Just saying.

PS The Iguanas are free ;D

IT SNOWED HERE IN DALLAS, TX today! :o And enough to stick for the night! First white Christmas here since 1972, my Uncle said. And It sounds right, cause I don't remember ever seeing one...... ;D It was 78 freakin degrees yesterday, and sunny the day before.....
-
Eastern Iowa it is Still Raining. 2 Days of rain has pretty much taken all of the snow away but the SNOW IS COMING!!!! ;D :( ( I love the snow. BUT My little sis is suppose to be driving down from Chicago and my Dad has already freaked out about her driving w/bad roads AND I'm on 3rd shift and I normally don't mind calling out the Linemen [they make plenty on call outs] but it is Christmas. Bad timing for this winter storm )
-
Pouring rain at 3:39 AM.
Yee Ha.
>:(
-
I checked "warm and clear", but that will be later in the day. It's cold as I type this. Cold for Phoenix anyway. 34 degrees on my patio digital. Once the Sun comes up it will be in the low 60's. Bill T.
-
Wind, snow, drifts, blowing snow, roads barely passable.
Typical ND winter.
More Christmas candy!!!! ;D
-
it should be around 82 today getting back up to 100 later this week by the looks
( and yes I did have to use the converter program the to check ) little cooler than what it has been was 104 the other day and was still 96 @ 22:00
-
It was a wet Christmas. None of the freezing rain and snow that was predicted. Just a little rain and it was in the 40's.
-
Actually, in NE Ohio it warmed up overnight and we got rain enough to melt most of the snow. Not warm enough to go without a coat but warmer. 33 and sunny tomorrow.

Right now my weather can be summed up in one word ;

Thank you, George Carlin!!! ;) ;D
Dark here too, still snowing, wind 30+ knots. All highway crews have been pulled from the Interstates, state and county roads. I-94 is closed across ND. I-29 is closed from the SD-NE border to Canada.
Drifts in my yard have now passed 4 feet of global warming. I ran the blower twice, gave it up when the drive was blown over as if I had not plowed less than 10 minutes after I was done.
Shades of last spring

Path,
Tom and I will be enjoying the wet front of the storm that went through your area....Lovely!
-
Wintery mix to rain depending on elevation here starting tomorrow PM.
Good time for Marshal and MB to pop up to Ruger ;D
-
Marshal and M'ette ain't going too far right now. They were in the midst of it yesterday, and today they were close to the line of sucks to be in a storm and sucks to be cleaning up from the storm ... Not sure which side they were on, but in Kansas if they tell you the snow removal equipment was new in '05 they mean 1905 ;) No such thing as simple winter weather down there.

If God had meant for man to live in the snow our feet would be six feet long and four inches wide. To quote the late great Sam Kinnison, MOVE! IT'S f....k SAND (snow in this case)!

Obviously you've never met M'ette ;)

Wind's been about 40 to 50 mph steady and gusts a little over 60. NWS says that it's about 8 outside with wind chill down to -20, and we haven't really been able to see more than 30 feet out the window since this morning. I-90 is closed across the state and last I checked, every main highway in the state is no travel advised. But at least it's a truely white Christmas. :D
-
Snowed on Wednesday about 8 inches and now we have wind. Drifts and the roads are bad, don't mind the snow but the wind SUCKS!! Temps in the low 20's.
-
wow, if I had an air conditioner it would have been on last night! in fact, had the fan on high for the past couple days. must suck not being able to leave the house due to being snowed in, frozen in..... sorry guys. it's summer time here! ;D

actually, it's not all that bad, fairly cool considering how close to the equator and amazon we are... but it is desert, no heat retention at night.
also, I live on a peninsula and have a nice sea breeze no matter what direction the wind is coming from.
