I'd like to get a white light that will fit into a GG&G "SLiC Thing" mount on my M4gery.
I'd rather not spend a fortune as I seem to be doing that on ammo and I'd like it to have a remote switch....(is that a good idea?)
Any input?

I put a Streamlight TLR-1 on my shotgun. I really like it and think that Streamlight is a good value. While I haven't tried a remote switch, I don't particularly like the idea of running neked wires down the stock. It may work very well and Streamlight offers a remote switch for its lights. In my case the switch on the back of the light falls right where my left hand grips the stock, so it's almost a natural to turn on the light. No remote required.
You can always get a light without the remote switch then upgrade it if you think you need it.

I shopped around found a $360 weapons light used on Ebay :-[ with a mount for under $60 and then spent another $65 @ surefire on a remote switch. That's what I'd try to do if I were you.

NcStar has some very reasonably priced options.
