Maybe this has already been brought up here, and I do like Fred, but I just got introduced to this Ron Paul. Is this wrong for me to look into his direction? And is he all talk? I want to be able to hand my 1911 down to my son/daughter someday. And I want to be doing so in the aspect of this is something I enjoy now you can to, not by handing it down cause the streets are so unsafe and it is the only way for my son/daughter to able to get a 1911. He brings up some good things all around. But I am young compared to the world, and many of your minds, I am sure, are much brighter than mine. So please let me know what you think. This is the website that I used to read about him. www.ronpaul2008.com
Thank you

I don't think you're wrong at all. Ron Paul has good points and bad, but he's basically a Libertarian. Which is NOT a bad thing to be. He's basically pushing the idea that the government is out of control (which it is), the taxes are too high(they are); the tax revenue is greatly wasted (it is)...etc. He's not wrong about a lot of things.
My problem with Ron Paul from what I've seen of him (and I'm no expert) is that he's always screeching about something, and it's hard to get people to do things you want them to do when you're screeching at them. He's not smooth. I'm not sure he'd be very effective as a president and frankly, if he pushed too hard as president they'd probably just take him out.
He does like to tell it like it is, though.

Ron Paul is something of a kook. A Republican version of the Democrat Dennis Kusinich. He has absolutely zero chance of winning the nomination.

After he blamed Israel and the US for 9/11 there is absolutely no way I would ever support him, even if it meant repealing every gun law we have imposed on us.
