took the wife out and rented a little 22. she had a hard time getting the nerve to hold it, much less shoot it. I think she's hooked now. ;D

yeah, it's like being married to a little 15 year old... same size and mentality.. I love it. oh yeah (in case anyone meets her) I love her too.
as far as the tok.. it may take awhile before she's willing to try that.
;D

She shoots like a girl ;D

nice work mate
lol looks like you will need to get a few bricks of .22 before you go away as she might be doing some practising hehe

I doubt it, she's still not very sure of herself, but I'll keep working on her and get to where she is that comfortable. oh, and we don't have 'cheap' .22 ammo here. also, it's cheaper at the range.

Good work, But now you REALLY have to behave yourself ;D

May I recommend you work with your wife on her grip. She has that military grip from 60 years ago where the weak hand is supporting the bottom of the gun. She would be better served with a high thumbs grip placed high on the frame with both thumbs pointed at the target. Her left thumb further forward than her right. Just a suggestion to see if it works better but most people who try it really like it.

thanks,
I know we have a lot to work on, but I'm just glad I got her to shoot. to be honest, Hazcat will probably be the best teacher for her. I've seen him teach first timers and such ( and helped me out a lot too) and am sure he will do better than I. trying to get her a tourist visa so she can come to the states and do some cross country motorcycling with me. ;D

If she got a thrill out of paper targets, put her on a clanger or popper. She oughta love the sounds of the clang when she hits!
Damn fine job, son.
-
Nice Job DW, smile on her face says it all.
By the way, Cradle robber ;D
Pretty lady, tell her I said Hi from Texas.

Good deal. Glad you enjoyed yourself...it's kinda special when the wife will go to the range.
-
OH MAN!!! You teach a woman to shoot, you gotta behave yourself. No guns, no sharp knives, no mixed martial arts training... Nothing good can come of this. LOL ;D
-
it was not easy getting her to pick up the gun after her uncle was shot recently. definitely respects guns and is a little afraid of them. we'll get her straight though ;D
-
WAY TO GO! I TOOK MY WIFE OUT FOR THE 1st TIME ALSO. SHE ALSO LIKED THE .22.
NOW YOU HAVE TO BE EXTRA NICE! JUST REMEMBER CHOCOLATE & ROSES GO A LONG WAY!!

It's great seeing new shooters starting, and women shooters for that matter. ;D
-
If she's anything like my wife, she's a natural with a handgun. The first time I took her to the range, a buddy of mie showed up and watched her shoot for a while. When she finished, he said, "Gee, Mrs. T, it was awfully nice of you to bring Tom out and teach him how to shoot!"
Some friend!! >:(
btw, she has grown out of the .22 and now has her own S&W Model 15. ;D
