Title: Metalform Magazines
Post by: Carbide on December 15, 2007, 02:03:42 PM
Hello,

First post.  I enjoyed the podcast (#21) on the 1911.  I was wondering about Metalform magazines with the round follower.  Didn't these  magazines used to be the standard for excellence or am I stuck in a time warp?  They may not be available anymore.  I suppose that time and Bill Wilson have passed them by.

Thanks,
Walter

Metalform mags are good.  Used them a lot. Wilson and McCormick are better.  Used them more!

Good choice Carbide.  Just thought I'd let you know that I now use a Wilson-Rodgers made for the Colt Officers ACP in my everyday carry (legal) gun.  Top it off with 7 rounds of my favorite carry load (another topic) and will stake my life and the life of my wife on them even if Wilson puts out an OACP version of the ET.

Just want to make one point clear Wilson magazines are the way to go for 45 ACP.  If you purchase a new Wilson Combat in either  9 mm or 38 super they will come with Metalform Magazines.
