Title: This is our Democratic-Controlled House at work.
Post by: Teresa Heilevang on January 05, 2010, 02:13:37 PM
Rep. Jack Murtha presides, ignores reality to push through his preferences without a vote.[/b
Rep. Murtha's blatant disregard for House rules.
House Democrats violate their own guidelines, break their old campaign promises, and hold a vote open to lobby for a different result.
House Republicans Walk Off the House Floor. Democrats Refuse to Debate Extending FISA legislation that would allow America to fight terrorism, while they find time to go after former administration staff.
The voting machines weren't working; House Democrats fail to govern. The intellectual dishonesty of the Democrats is mind boggling!

Uh, keel-hauling is really, really a bad thing. Cruel and unusual would apply.,....
When a sailor was keelhauled, he would be stripped and tied so that he could not swim. Usually a weight was attached to his legs to pull him away from the ship. The sailor was attached to a rope which ran underwater from one side of the ship to the other, and he was rapidly pulled through the water. Assuming the sailor did not usually drown, he would severely injured by extremely sharp barnacles on the underside of the ship, known as the keel. Keelhauling would leave severe scars on the flesh of the sailor, serving as a constant reminder of the event.
But tar and feathering is still OK.
And Vote at the ballot box, before we vote from the rooftops.

I've heard they went side to side ACROSS the keel, but I have also heard they went bow to stern, actually dragging him the LENGTH of the keel :o

Believe it or not, the DUTCH sailors were the worst. circa mid-late 1500's.
Wasn't banned until 1853, by the Dutch,..the last holdouts.....
Funny, it was a a Dutchman that stopped the "underwear" bomber. ;) I candidate for keel-hauling or a one way ticket to his virgins. (http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm182/twyacht/electricchair.jpg)
