I seen that powder is in short supply. I have now heard a strange reason for this. What I am hearing is that powder is being reconfigured to have a shelf life of about one year. Can some one with more knowledge than me about this either calm me down, or rev me up in buying frenzy that will take the corn muffins out of my children's mouth.

I don't have any information but it sounds like a load of crap.
I would bet that the culprit is the recent spike in sales of guns and ammo that saw ammunition shelves nearly bare.
Think about it, Manufacturers are running 24/7 and not keeping up with demand, primers were unavailable or in short supply, why wouldn't powder be in short supply as well ?
