For the record, kpr, has NEVER had a varmint, mouse, raccoon, badger, rat, squirrel, two legged intruder, or killer mutant zombie issues, at his residence.

Some of us have alarm signs and/or dogs, others sandbagged bunkers with concertina (offset with garden flags). ;D

Once a ferret snuck in but he had extra small rifle primers on his person so I let him pass...

I can barely afford to keep my .44Mag Red Hawk properly fed at just 6-bites at a time... But, oh that looks like a good time. ;)

Went to the Machine Gun Shoot at Know Creek, Ky in the early 80's and one of the guys with his gun on the line said he would shoot up $10,000 worth of ammo and that he was just about average.
I still am trying to decide if he was pulling my leg or if these guys really have that kind of cash to send DownRange.

Figure $5-$7 a round for .50 BMG, particularly if you start talking tracers, I don't think he was kidding.

You can find .50 BMG for $2.95 a round pretty easiliy for 100 rounds or more. J&G Sales is advertising it in Shotgun News. Reloading you can do it for a little under $2 for plinking rounds.
Still, that is expensive if you're talking 500+ rounds at a time. Pretty easy to go throught that in a belt fed.

Solus, he was probably dead serious and YES these people DO have that kind of money to spend, Check out the prices on some full auto guns.
-
I thought that's why they let you fire them for a donation at those full auto festivals.
Recoup some of the cost,.... :P
