Hi All,
New to this forum, looking forward to the Ruger Rimfire Series moving ahead in 2010, anyone here holding matches ?
I'm holding the Southeast Regional Championship in NC.

Plus I hold 2 rimfire matches (RAC) per month.

Regards,

Hey, Dean,

We posted your matches.....actually all the RR matches, over in this thread,
http://www.downrange.tv/forum/index.php?topic=9936.msg137767#msg137767 (http://www.downrange.tv/forum/index.php?topic=9936.msg137767#msg137767)

There are so few matches though.   I guess the 2-a-month matches at your place, aren't "approved" by Ruger or what's the deal?  Or why aren't they (and possibly many more) listed on Ruger's web site.   I mean someone looking into this competition goes to the Ruger website, sees only 6 matches plus the national.   How does one find out about other matches?   Matches that will be good practice for the RR event?

Check out the above thread for other comments and thoughts.   I'm sure many others would like to have a go at this game, but there needs to be more matches, more information.  Maybe since you're holding the SE regional (the ONLY match in the SE as far as I can tell), you could pass on some thoughts to Ruger.

Another link to keep an eye on www.teamrimfire.com  on the front page, right hand side lists clubs holding monthly matches.

Thanks,
I hope it takes off in a big way, if somebody had told me about 2 months ago that I would be 1. shooting a rimfire match and 2. holding rimfire matches I would have called them crazy, I shot a few stages, had a blast, spent 3 afternoons and 1,100rds
getting into the "one second club"  (it's on team rimfire web page) and the rest shall be history.

The sport is just plain fun, I have shot and put together a lot of IDPA matches over the past 11 years, done the 5 gun master thing, got bent out of shape over a penalty or two, this sport is easy on the pocket and did I say fun, new shooter or Pro you get out of it what you wish (try the one second club stage).

Regards,
            Dean

If people want to see more happen they need to ask local clubs/ranges to hold a match, Ruger Rimfire Series MD is Nelson Dymond and his contact info can be found at www.teamrimfire.com  (bottom of front page).

You know I'll only be a couple hours away from the match that week.  Maybe I'll have to extend my trip to shoot the match.  Any idea what time things will wrap up on Sunday.  Maybe I can catch a redeye out Sunday night.

Thanks in advance.
