Title: Redfield Scopes
Post by: ericire12 on January 13, 2010, 12:50:25 PM
Its been all over almost all the gun magazines lately, but in case you missed it.... Leupold has reintroduced the Redfield Line of optics.

I just got my first chance to check one out today, and I was very impressed. I looked at the $149 dollar 3x9x40 and it was very nice. I would venture to say that it is probably the best $149 scope that I have ever seen. It looks very well made. Its bright and clear, and looks better then the entry level Nikon scopes that are at similar price points.

I've got a OLD Redfield on my Remington 700 in .270, it was my uncle's from way back when and he never got around to using it.  So when I picked up my rifle eight or so years ago he offered to help me out and even installed it for me.  Great part is, he's a LE Sniper, so it was a professionally done setup.  Last January, I got a whitetail 25 minutes before sun up at 150 yards using my Redfield.  Hopefully Leupold continues making a good product with the name and history.
