Title: Ruger LCR XS Sight - newly installed

Hi,  just installed my XS big dot front sight on my Ruger LCR. I was a little nervous removing the pin and front sight and then glueing on the new XS, but the instructions were good and it came out very well - my first gunsmithing job - and no dremel involved!  I am very pleased with the sight - So much easier than the stock black metal ramp ...so I think my LCR is now perfect, and it fits my fobus holster and my conceal leather galco. I saw the XS sight on the homepage here along with several other things I have bought. Really enjoy the podcast Mike.

Thinking this year of progressing to an AR - anyone has any guidance on a solid entry level AR and what accessories are must haves for home defense?

Hmmm, I was thinking more of accessories to stop a home intruder - but I guess that might at least distract them.
