51 Year-Old Memphis Man Beats 20 Year-Old Burglary Attacker into Submission with Staple Gun.
Video report here:
http://www.freedomslighthouse.com/2010/01/51-year-old-memphis-man-beats-20-year.html
"The only way to bring him into understanding is by putting the pain on him and understand that everybody understands pain." . . . . "I had to give him to understand that it wasn't nice to walk into a man's house and take advantage of a man. I might be an old man, but I'm a man!"
*Now thats what I'm talkin about! :)
-
HA! Well, thats a stapled relationship! ;D
-
Tied him to a fence till police arrived.
His self defense actions may have gotten him arrested in Briton...and probably started a movement to ban staple guns.
The video talked about how the life of the attacker was spared...and a comment warned that the home owner should watch his back as the assailant look like someone who might seek revenge....
With that thought, has anyone else considered the possibility of using lethal force when justified by law, even if you could avoid it, with the intent of avoiding the possibility of revenge?

Winner of the Cleverest Thread Title of the Week!

Guns don't kill people. STAPLES kill people??? I love a happy ending--especially when it stars an "Old Guy." But 51?? I would challenge him on that statement. Heck, I still had both my hips at 51...
-
The sad thing is that these people will do this again and again. He should not have left us with a tax burden. We will pay for these two dirt bags attorneys and the prosecutors, and their new homes of three hots an two cots.
-
Damn thats pretty gutsy stuff, I was hoping he actually shot him with a nail/staple gun though LOL now that would have been priceless.

Ban them! Ban them all!
I have a few staple guns in my collection...... but they've never been fired in anger.
A staple gun is a tool, people.
;D

All the real operators know that the most tacticoolerific staple gun is a Bostich USO-56-1. It features Pneumatic operation for high production felt, insulation and other light wire stapling applications. Lightweight magnesium design for added durability Oil-free operation requires no regular maintenance and eliminates the risk of oil stains. Ultra-quiet rear exhaust directs air away from the user. Molded rubber grip designed to minimize fatigue...
Caliber 7/16... Magazine capacity 120... Match trigger...
Ammunition cost is very reasonable at $3.99 for 1200 rounds....

How long until EBS (Evil Black Staplers) are illegal?

Is that 7/16 BFSG ?

Congress is debating the extent of the new law. Should it apply to staplers in general? Or, should it only apply to "semi-automatic" staplers? Maybe they should limit it to staplers holding more than 8 staples in their magazines??? But, gentlemen, something has got to be done to stop stapler crime!
-
I'm guessing the Tiger Woods Amendment will be attached to include 7 irons
-
now that I think about it, a hand held stapler would make a very good impact weapon. they are heavy, metal and have a nice handle on them.
If it was a hammer stapler, you would get a bouns with every hit... ;D
-
Heck yeah......work the thing like a butterfly knife.

Of course... Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "nailing the bad Guy"

My buddy and I were working on a porch and started playing around with his framing nailer...just to see how far it would go......... Would could get minute of tree out to about 25 yards

What we need is common sense staple gun control reform.
If you outlaw staple guns, only outlaws will have staple guns.
We need to have a 72 hour cooling off period before people are allowed to pick up their staple guns.
We also need to limit them to just one staple gun a month.
Hey guys, I just found this:
on www.staplegunbroker.com
It is the latest incarnation of the Stanley-Bostitch H2B slap stapler/hammer tacker.
The seller says it hasn't seen many staples...just a few and it has been a safe queen ever since.
What do ya'll think is a good price?
Wait...what!?
Huh?
:P
-
Gives "Stick up" a whole new meaning ;D
-
I'm Disappointed this wasn't about an AK with a drum or an AR with a 30 rounder.
