Title: Mosin Nagant scope mount
Post by: Badgersmilk on January 18, 2010, 09:25:31 AM
Anybody seen one of these in place on the gun?  Or have any info. on how good they may be?  I guess for about $20 with shipping maybe I should just give it a shot.   :-\

Mounts on the rear site for scout rifle scopes. I 've never used one on a MN, but I've tried them on Enfields and Mausers. They're alright, if you're keeping a military look for the rifle. For serious shooting, I'd stick with drill and tap.

I bought one for my MN, but it puts the scope too far out there.

I ended up changing the bolt handle and putting a drill and tap mount on on it and that worked out great.

I bought one and I have yet to put it on. Looking for a scout scope.

I like that stock!

I think I'm leaning toward that rear sight rail because with a Scout scope on there you should still be able to use stripper clips.  Or at least have full access for single loads.   :-\

Bulldog, check out  Natchezss.com

They've had some GREAT deals on scout scope just the other day when I looked.

Now that's cool!  You don't see a rifle like that every day!
