Today Brown won in Mass. Demonstrating to a sickenly arrogant Democratic party that it really was the people's seat after all. Also today, Jim Webb said he would oppose any further vote on healthcare until Brown was seated. Two decent men. Thoughtful, moderate, patriotic and not particularly partisan. They are both pro-gun, pro-choice, pro-free market and pro-militiary. My kind of politicians. They belong to two different party's. Ask me if I give a damn....What? Funny you should ask, I really don't. ;D

Jim Webb is a Vietnam Veteran, Marine IIRC Enlisted man who wound up as Sec. Def for a while.
Brown All I know about him is he's a Republican, and he won.
The best part of all is that Teddy's legacy is this. There has not been a Republican Senator from Ma. since 71, but there has not been a Rep. in THAT senate seat since Before JFK won it ;D
My beef with Moderates is that the current state of the nation requires DRASTIC actions.
To seek "Moderation " at this time, and with these problems is like prescribing aspirin for cancer.

+ 1 !! Let's just hope this is the beginning of what's to come in November. The current crop of these idiot's are the most arrogant, power hungry bunch of communists I've ever seen in my life! Bill T.

Plus 1 more. It will take a great conservative movement and many years to UNdo all the damage this batch of socialists/communists has caused. This skirmish may well signal a change in direction, but we must not rest. The battle was won, and we should all give thanks, but the war is only beginning.

+1 to all, except FQ's comments, which are typically clueless.
Brown's win (and I have expressed my hope that he is not just another RINO elsewhere on this forum) is analagous to Concord in 1775. Just the beginning of what will be a long and nasty battle to oust the usurpers and communists from the Federal gummint. Even after the elected are changed, we have a massive Federal bureaucracy as well as all of the "laws" the usurpers and communists have saddled us with, as well as the Judiciary, all of which need to be re-made more in the image of the Constitution.
Teach your children well, they will be the ones fighting most of the battles.

You're just clueing in on this? I am no conservative, never claimed to be on most issues. I am libertarian leaning moderate. Give me a moderate Republican or a conservative Dem and I'm reltively happy as Ron Paul is the only Libertarian who's managed to get into or close to congress.
FQ13 conservative? By academia's standards, otherwise hell no. ;D

Known that since your first post about feminist rubbish.....I was laughing about you being an angry moderate, which is a contradiction. Moderate's are pussies by definition. No spine. No guts. No strong moral core. So how can you be angry about anything?
In politics, your belief system is going to make you road kill. Either progressives are going to run over you in their Prius or someone like me is going to flatten your ass in my Hummer!! ;D

I diasagree full auto. I see signs people are moving in my direction. They are getting tired of social conservatives and tired of the nanny staters (how many sates have the equivilent of gay marriage and CCW?). They are also getting tired of the drug war and don't seem to really want government run healthcare. They are wary of deficiets. They are tired of illegal immigration. All of this toghther seems to me to be an outbreak of commonsense and a desire for a libertarian and moderate trend.

A glowing example of why , unless you are studying a Hard science like engineering, you should NEVER waste your education money on college.
With the exception of gay marriage, and ending the drug war quagmire, you have just laid out most of the Conservative agenda.
You know FQ, I think your a decent guy, but when it comes to the real world, you are a f-cking Harp seal, just waiting for some one with a club.

OK, now, see, right here is why people are so damned shocked when the find they agree with you on some small point. Most of your comments, like this one, just take a huge left turn from the logical. A Libertarian (a real one BTW, not your academia-diluted type) is anything but moderate. In reality, they should be more conservative than a conservative. It is only in your own little mental version of Pandora where a Libertarian and Moderate are even in the same room!
And for heaven's sake, get a damn spell-checker, will you please? My screen is a sea of red squiggle lines under your text from all of the errors. I highlighted some of the errors above. In pink.

OMG, ROTFLMAO
Tom, you outdid yourself with this one. ;D

I would also add Harvard Business School to that list.... Just being there gives you great connections that will set you up for life, not to mention once you have the diploma you can basically get a job just about anywhere you choose.
*I now return to your regularly scheduled Quaker Dumping.

My last employer was a Harvard Business School grad and was also a Professor there before she went into the private sector. Our VP was also a HBS grad. You couldn't find two more conservative people if you tried.
It didn't hurt that the Ann (Prof) was the daughter of a Naval Officer and that the VP was the son of a decorated AF Fighter Pilot and bone-fide NASA Shuttle Pilot...
