One of my buds works on Wall Street. His firm is supposed to pay back $84 million a year back to the .gov for TARP money they NEVER received in the first place.
That is supposed to go on for 10 years.

Other NON-TARP Companies that are going to have to pay would include American Express, Hudson city bank, Prudential, Metlife, Allstate, probably several others.
Supposedly....
Also supposedly, companies that already paid back all the TARP such as JPM, Goldman, Morgan Stanley, BB&T. They will also get a bill.
Methinks there is something nefarious going on here....as in a few of the financial firms are in cahoots with the Prez or the Congress critters and in order to eliminate their competition they are getting the .gov to cough up money that they never took in the first place.
???
Supposedly....at least that is what I am hearing.

This coming from the Odamna administration... The worst, most corrupt administration ever... And it surprises you why???? ??? ??? ??? ???

It is not a TARP payback - it is a tax.

My guess is that Goldmann doesn't have to pay anything back, or their tab is a fraction of everyone else's. They're the one's on cahoots with the .gov.

It's nothing but a shakedown.
Remember what Barney (Butt Pirate ) Frank said about the money that was paid back early?
" We've got to spend this before the taxpayers get it ! "
-
Remember who these firms are paying the money back to,.........
It's not like a check will show up in the mail.......It's a clever "word game" ,.........Pay back the tax payers money,......
If you think you'll ever see it again,,,,,there's some swamp land here that is the latest, greatest thing,....
