haven't seen it yet so not 1000% sure what it really is
but it sounds like blue with about a 3" barrel - hardly used - for about 225
didn't Charter have a few 'off' years - supposedly it's in the box with the sale receipt so I'll have a good idea of the vintage

MB loves his!
I just got my .44 Special Bulldog back from Mag-Na-Port, and it is a great little self-defense revolver.

I had one and dearly loved it. Everytime you pressed the trigger it went boom. What more can you ask?

YAY, I had one , wish I had it back. Good gun

I had one of the original Charter Bulldog .44s back in the early 1970s. It shot great and was comfortable to shoot with any .44 Specials I tried. Like too many others, I sold it after several years, and I have no idea why. I wish I still had it. The newer versions look like they'd be a keeper.

I have two new Charter Arms Bulldogs. I had some trouble with the first one, but had a gunsmith friend of mine work it out for me, seemed the trigger would stick in the rearward position upon firing the first shot. He slicked up the action then I fired it some and it seemed to work the problem out. I think this was an isolated problem to his particular gun not to the Bulldog in general. The second one I bought was flawless. Love 'em both carry one in the car and one for ccw. Good hard working gun, nothing fancy but just hard working.

I have had mine for 2 years. Great carry gun. No problems to this point.

My wife has one of the '70s .44 Bulldogs. She likes it, though doesn't shoot it often. I did break a piece of the extractor off, but it was too much trouble to replace. Works well without it. One or two shots from that will discourage any intruder. Not worry about speed reloading.

Don't buy it.... Tell me where I can buy it instead...... ;D
In case you're slow, that's a YAY.
-
I'll take two please. ;D
-
Anyone who has one they don't want, just send them to me. I'll take them all and figure out something to do with them.
-
Yea, I can sense the hesitation too. The only fair thing to do is let these kind gents above me shoot it first, then me too. We'll give you a range report, some targets and then you can use it with confidence.

Add me to the list of evaluators. I could compare it to the '70s model for you as well. I already have ammo and everything.
-
My neighbor loves his. He complained once the cylinder locked when the gun got very hot. Like, SMOKING hot on further questioning, lol.
-
I love .44 special. Its kind of like the 16 gauge of pistols as far as I'm concerned. Its just a problem finding/affording it sometimes. Normally, I'd say get a .44 mag for the versatilty and ammo options. $225? That would be a hell Yay. ;)

The 70's version worked frighteningly well for David Berkowitz.
