Getting ready for a trip and thought I'd share the preparation ;D

Honestly, the camera is not as bad as it looks. That is what the fog and haze was like yesterday, and today it is clear, but wind and snow moving at about 35 mph from northwest ... looks worse!
Sunshine ... Here we come !!!

Daaayyyaaammm! That makes the 12 inches we got look like nothing. I still don't have power at the house. It's been out since Thursday night.

Snow Tires on a motorcycle? :'(
Hope you get to warmer weather soon. Safe trip.
-
Sounds like you have exactly the same weather as we have here - bright, sunny, windy and in the teens temp-wise! Ground blizzards due to the wind and the very cold dry snow that's just sitting on the ground.
BTW, we have a snow pile over 2 stories tall (pause and ponder that - 2 stories) in the middle of our cul-de-sac. The city wants to remove it, but is trying to figure out just where in the heck to put it.

Daytona Bike Week?
We have a ton of snow here in NE Ohio but not quite like that!
Safe trip.
Richard
PS: Remember SNOW is a 4 letter word!!!!!!!

It was 76˚ today, 77˚ 10 miles up at Disneyland. It's still 70˚ and since I'm sick, it's too damn hot! It'd have been a great day if I wasn't.

Welcome to Fl. M58, but button up, it got down to 62 today. ;) Ride safe and enjoy the beach. On a more serious note, the cold weather (and no I'm not kidding here) has had a huge effect on the fishing. The water has gotten cold enough (below 60) to cause massive fish kills on snook and tarpon. :'( However, it has lit up the offshore scene. Swords, sails and spinner sharks are being taken like it was the late '80s. My advice is to bring an extra 5 bills and a couple of friends and book an offshore charter. It is hot there. If you're ever going to drop the cash to go offshore, or even off the beach for spinner sharks which are as cool as any tarpon, this is the year.

Yup that's pretty accurate...........I'm stuck here in "Unbelievably shitty" country.
SO tell me, did you grow the on the bottom of your head to compensate for what is NOT on the top of your head? ;D
Wait, that's like the pot calling the kettle black, isn't it? nevermind. ;D

That guy looks like somebody I know, but I just can't place him. LOL

First reply was "I'm too lazy to shave," but trimming is more work than shaving!
I'm now just claiming gravity. For years I thought it was falling out, but I have learned it was just too weak to fight gravity and was "sagging" ;D

Left home on the 6:30 AM on the 19th, and it was nine degrees :-\
Put over 1,000 miles on the bikes in temps ranging from 45 to 85 ;D
Returned home this morning (1:15 AM) to nine degrees ... Honest! You can't make this crap up :'(
Unloading in Georgia on the 20th

I need to learn to stick to my diet during the winter!

Test driving bikes on the 22nd
(http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e330/m58/FloridaFeb2010012.jpg)
Important notes:
1. The photos don't lie, and I will be returning to my diet;
2. I did not buy a bike, but I did put a hundred miles on three brand new Harleys and almost brought home an '10 Ultra or Limited ... But, those things were a little more than I was willing to part with at this time;
3. I have some major apologies for some people that they will be receiving in the coming days;
4. I promise to lose those 15 pounds I put back on along with the other 50 that was supposed to go away as well!
-
Where were you at in Georgia?
Table-muscles rule!!! ;D
Hope you had fun. :D
-
Peg ... You are on my apology list! Watch for it!
That the unloading is in a BP or Shell parking lot next to a Cracker Barrel about forty-five miles north of Atlanta.
The wives wanted us to drive through Atlanta before we unloaded, but during a high cholesterol feast my wife said she would drive the Tahoe and trailer if we wanted to ride ... those elipse took longer to type than it took us to take her up on that offer!

It felt like spring today! ;D It was beautiful.

We're now in our 6th month of winter...it's never going to be spring again...
