This is kinda cool...
Here is a website you can spend the rest of the day at looking at pictures from your hometown or anywhere else. Rotate the page to look up and down the streets. Not every street in US has been photographed, but amazing how many are. I just put the town name in on some and saw even little towns of 250 people in North Dakota.
This is really amazing...check out some of your old addresses or favorite "haunts".
When you enter an address you will see a picture of that place. There's a little map with a little man on it - you can move the little man up and down the block if you need to.

Marshallette,
I actually have all that on my Droid Cell Phone... ;D
I was in an unfamiliar town the other day and used the voice navigation GPS to direct me to the nearest Dunkin Donuts and once I got within 500 feet it showed me the Google street view to show me what the building looked like.... So cool!!!!
Cheers,
Scott

Looked up the funeral home, and if I could figure out when we had the flag at half staff I could tell you when they took the pics. Then I looked up our home, and it was late summer 2009 ... Glad I had freshly mowed lawns at both places!
Wow :o

Our pictures here in ND are from a year and a half ago - we had an inflatable pool but no gardens - gardens went in last summer.
Since a lot of the highway maps don't know about our development, the houses are in the pictures but you can't "drive" the streets int he pictures to actually get to my house.
Mapping and photo survey sites are fun, but can often be highly inaccurate. Our place in Mandan was wrongly posted as in south Mandan, when in fact it was 8 miles north of town.

It was really neat because I got to see where I grew up in spite of not being there for 26 years

It shows my house being re-roofed last year.

Did you see me Marshall'ette? I'm pretty sure it was my town here in ND you were checking out.
