I know we have hashed and re-hashed our opinions of safety issues for the Impossible Shots tv show on the OC.
Well, today's episode is a 'shouldn't miss'........set aside your issues for a half hour and watch "The Old Sniper". It profiles Ted Gundy, an 84 year-old WWII Veteran and sniper. It was a very emotional show.

What a story, and God Bless the future generations that always hold, in the highest respect and regard, those that came before them.
A true honor, to a true American Veteran. Those past, present, and future there at Ft. Benning.
Thanks for the link Peg. It is very much appreciated. I have to go replace the Air Cond. filter now, seems to be causing some type eye and sinus reaction.

After reading about this, I called DirecTV yesterday and added Outdoor channel. This was a show that I just could NOT miss. I recorded it last night and will be watching tonight.

+1! He's still a hell of a shot. You could tell the AMU guys were really impressed with his 1000 yard group.

I just watched this morning. I need to hot key this "We can never repay our veterans enough"
A hat, a VIP tour of the Army Base, a chance to hang out with the guys, and a chance to shoot a modern sniper rifle....really so little and it meant so very much to him.
I was so impressed with the honor and respect that went both ways here....from Sgt Grundy to the pros and the other soldiers he spoke to and even more touching was that which flowed from the pros and the the other soldiers to Sgt. Grundy.
My A/C isn't running...better check my furnace filter....

Amen.....and the coolest thing about his new rifle was watching him get behind it and connect with it at 300 yards...especially after saying he hadn't shot a rifle like that in 64 years.
You could still see the steady determination in the old gentleman's eyes when the camera zoomed in...that was the ultimate cool, IMHO.
