Reid Jobs Bill Gives Tax Breaks for Hiring Illegal Workers
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) unveiled his jobs bill last week that proposes tax exemptions and tax credits for employers who hire and retain workers—regardless of their immigration status. Senator Reid introduced his bill, entitled the “Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment Act,” immediately after shelving a more extensive bill authored by Senators Max Baucus (D-MT) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the Chair and Ranking Member of the Finance Committee. In doing so, Reid said he wanted to focus clearly on the “jobs message” he thought the Senate should be sending to the American people. :'( :-\

I am sure am glad Reid is on "short time", in NV, too bad Sheriff Arapaio can't come visit and round up illegals that continue to employ people that should not even be in this country., and remind the arrogant Congress Critters, that illegal aliens are just that.
But it's an election year, so the sucking up and brown-nosing will only get worse.

You want a jobs bill that will actually WORK?!? Try this out.
1) Shoot the Health Care Bill in the head and put it out of our misery.
2) Take Cap & Tax off the table.
3) Round up the illegals and ship them home, and prosecute those who lure them here by giving them jobs once they cross the border.
4) Lower tax rates on middle and upper income Americans, as well as businesses.
5) Get the hell out of the way and let the MARKET take care of things.
THERE'S your jobs bill and "Economic Recovery Act" all rolled into one. And it doesn't require us to spend trillions of dollars that we ain't got!!
Tom & Tom in 2012!!!

I notice you managed to keep it less than 2,000 pages with no legal jargon as well.
Your first Official Duty will be to teach Congress how to write a bill.

He is good at cutting the fat out of it Tom.

And they are going to spend our tax money to do it.

How about rolling in that you must be a landowner to vote...especially for any tax. Also to add in no property tax on a family's primary residence...I have known too many people who lost their homes or entered into tremendous debt because through no fault of their own they could not find work.

When we were a young nation, that was a requirement. The argument against that provision was that it made some people "more equal" than others. A better point is, I think, that someone with no dog in the hunt shouldn't be able to penalize those who HAVE a dog in the hunt. Why should someone with no property be able to impose a tax on MY property? Is it because I was able to work hard and save money and finally buy a piece of dirt? Why should that increase my obligation to fund someone too lazy, too stupid, or even too young to have some property of his own? Doesn't seem right. And much of my property tax goes to fund schools. My youngest is 38. Hasn't been in school for some time--and she paid her own way to University of California. Still, I get the tax burden.
Tom and Tom in 2012 is looking better every day.

By the way... anytime Dingy Harry Reid has a finger in something, you can make book it'll be anti-capitalist, pro-socialist crap. As a general rule of thumb, if Reid (or Pelosi or the rest of the Axis of Evil) are for something, every patriotic American should be against it. These idiots want to destroy the American Experiment that has worked so well for nearly 250 years.
We need to heat up the tar and find a supply of feathers.
I continue to weep for my nation. :'(

To many affluent, successful people nowadays do not own land, They live in expensive apartments, and own stocks in corporations.
I would instead stipulate that you must be "self supporting" in order to vote.
Tom and I will take the Property tax idea under advisement until we get an opinion from our economic advisers.
Oh, wait, That would be YOU, and Billt and a few others ;D
-
You must own land to have a say in property tax. If you have no stake in the commodity being taxed, YOU GET NO SAY, AND NO BENEFIT. As far as who gets to vote. That is easy. If you pay INCOME tax. You get to vote. If you don't have a tax liability, because you are a bottom feeding leech, who won't get off your ass and support yourself, you don't get to vote. JC positioning himself to replace Bernanke.

Write in T&T in 2012 and Bernanke will not Need a replacement.
Ever.
