Title: John Murtha
Post by: callithump on February 18, 2010, 11:08:25 PM
I caught a line in the American Hunter about Murtha, it said:
"shooters who rely on ammunition loaded in once-fired military brass owe US Rep. John Murtha D. - PA a round of applause for his help in getting theis rider restored and expanded." The rider was part of the DOD Appropriations Act of 2010. Little Barry tried to drop longstanding provisions that protected M1 Carbines and M1 Garands. Not only did that provision stay in the bill, it was approved and it prohibits destruction small arms ammo and ammo components. p64.
I suppose the lesson is that not everybody is a total ass wipe.

Yea well even a broken watch is right twice a day. Murtha did more to make himself a real ass wipe than he ever did to help. Look at the way he accused Marines of misconduct in Iraq. With no evidence. He accused them of the slaughter of civilians. (the marines were later cleared) But the fact remains that Murtha was an enemy to our military. These arrogant elitists in Washington need to start remembering that you are innocent until PROVEN guilty. They would do well to remember that. The next accusations may be coming their way.

See Michelle Malkins column which tells about Murtha repeatedly winning most corrupt in Congress awards from both the right AND the left.

Murtha was always endorsed by the NRA and was as pro gun as a Democrat could be.

Despite his many faults he voted with us in Congress.

And he volunteered to serve in Vet Nam when he was not required to, that counts for something. How many of the current crop of blowhards on the right can say that?

He was a wash in my opinion. RIP.

Murtha was sort of an enigma in Congress.  For most of his career he supported the military yet in Iraq he attacked the military.  He was master of "pork barrel" politics.  He got involved in ABSCAM in the '70's and was named an "unindicted co-conspirator" in the scandal.

The only difference between bull-sh!t and fertilizer is its proximity to the point of origin.  Murtha was too close to being one to be of much use as the other.  (D@mmit... I wasn't going to speak ill of the dead.)  But, I really didn't like that self-aggrandizing, two-faced, lying, anti-military, anti-American, tax and spend, liberal, worthless POS.  (I'm going to have to really re-think this "speaking ill of the dead" theory... Doesn't seem to be working for me.)

And I too was a volunteer who went to Vietnam when I didn't have to.  I'm just sayin'...

10-Ring.  1,000 yard shot...dead on.

I'd  like to quote that "...even a broken watch is right twice a day.", if you don't mind.

Anything to provide a positive aspect to his legacy to his otherwise corrupt and crony filled, inside baseball, pork magnet, who voted with the progressive, far-left liberal agenda 99% of the time.

How many flights go to his airport now? 7 or 8?

Can we get Robert KKK Byrd to take the train home next?

I was thinking get him appointed to Pelosi's job.    ;D
It would destroy any trust that BO had in Congress, Byrd could kiss his butt on national TV , but those 3 letters (KKK) will ping around his head , add that to the pressures of on one hand, 2/3 of the population involved in or supporting some Tea Party related event, on the other hand the Communists and other flakes that control his $$$ are screaming he is not doing enough, and the Chinese are asking,"What you MEAN, maybe next week ???????  ?  ?  ? Next week is not good for us. We need to have our money NOW !"

Sounds like what drove Hitler to his bunker,   :o   ;D   ::)
