Are they going to replace the FNP series, or are they going to continue to produce both models? They look so similar that I can't help but wonder.

I hope they keep the FNP line it. My 9mm is a no issue pistol, that I have had ZERO problems with. If they have to "keep up with the Jones's", in the modern pistol market, I hope they keep the changes to a minimum, as this is a solid platform.

My understanding is the FNX is replacing the FNP in 9 and 40. They have taken features from the FNP-45 and added them to make the FNX series. I have a couple of their handguns, and I really like them.

If they do anything I wish they would resolve the slide pinging issue in the fnp 40 otherwise I hope they keep the fnp line my fnp 40 is a solid performer and I love the look and feel of it
