Title: Glenn Beck's Speech At CPAC.
Post by: twyacht on February 21, 2010, 06:54:46 AM
Well if your initial reaction is whatever,.....you are going to be surprised at how Glenn "bashes" Republicans, RINO'S, and reminds them of some historical reality that is kinda refreshing to hear.

Lots of references to history, speech is about an hour, but he is a good speaker, (no teleprompter either),...

Can't argue with common sense.

That comment about Democrats tax and spend and Republican just spend is priceless.

Glenn Beck says a lot of things that need saying so people with think for themselves. I already felt that the Left, Right labels were a smoke screen for who gets screwed and by which party. When I have tried to have a discussion with Obama supporters their view is of two teams, your guy is worse then my guy. I don't have a guy and it galls me to vote for the lesser of two bad choices.

Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin are shills for the Rinos. Glenn gets all his talking points from Alex Jones and spins them.

Based on that remark, I could post a litany of Palin quotes that go against any RINO. That subject has been worn out on previous posts here. Why is such a relentless attack unleashed upon a little known former Gov. from Alaska?

Mitt Romney doesn't even get this kind of attention, and is more experienced?  Kinda seems silly, yet the attacks to her and her family won't stop. She wrote points on her palm, OK, so did Dianne Feinstien, no classless attacks on her intellect for that one.

Either way, Beck bashes the broken nature of today's gov't, BOTH parties, have "f"'d up this country. The "vote" for the lesser of two evils, is the mentality of BS, that Beck is trying to convey.

We should reject big government and look inside ourselves for all the things that built this country into what it was.
Glenn Beck

Terrible Idea?

We just put General Motors in the hands of people who can't even run our own government.
Glenn Beck

Disagree with that?

I am a conservative, but I am not a zombie.
Glenn Beck

Wish more folks in DC were of the same mindset.

"All men are created equal. It is what you do from there that makes the difference. We are all free agents in life. We make our own decisions. We control our own destiny."
— Glenn Beck

Never heard Alex Jones say that.

Point being Woody, don't take too many shots of the Kool-Aid. Beck is for fundamental Constitutional Law, Less Gov't, and encouraging the individual to have the chance to do better for themselves, without the Socialistic, overspending, disregarding, incompetent, Congressional bastards that have been ruining this country for a while, oh and they include BOTH parties.

OMG! That must be a terrible thing to speak out about.

Um, no.  Do you know what a RINO is?  Beck and Palin are on the other end of the republican party.

Woody doesn't know anything when he wraps his own tin foil.
He always gets it to tight and cuts off the oxygen to his "Prison Planet link"

Go ahead, jump from the fire back into the frying pan. Beck's actions speak louder than his words. We will see in time if I'm right or wrong, so go ahead and sing your song.

Such a good speech, I enjoy listening to him on the radio in the mornings. He pretty much hits the nail dead center with his speech.

Is CPAC a Republican organization, or just a Conservative group that happens to be made up of Republicans?  If the former, then Beck was biting the hand that invited him.

It's not necessarily "republican" even though the vast majority of conservatives still identify themselves with the Republican Party.

It is not a GOP group, though virtually everyone there is GOP. They are social conservatives and tend to lean neo-con on defense so you won't see many libertarians there. Somehow, I think McCain', Crist's and Arnolds invitations got lost in mail as well. ;D

GOOD!!!

Sneaky how the GOP, is also trying to "latch" on to the Tea-Party folks, as it is an election year and the RINO's will predictably move to the right...

Hell, even Nancy P. stated on CNN, this weekend, she has "much in common" with "those folks",.... ???

I thought after 6 months of her calling them gun & Bible toting, right wing, racist, homophobe extremists...she would have hardly anything in common with her Botox, bong-smoking, cooty scratching, Birkenstock, tree hugging, socialist, vegan, hippies.....

Gee the comparison is just too close to call....
