Title: The latest Barrett Rifle show
Post by: Dakotaranger on March 15, 2007, 01:51:34 AM
The episode about women and the Barrett's Rifle was really well put together, the instruction on how to increase accuracy with the sandbag was pretty informative.  I would have liked a little more figuring out how to adjust the scope and shooting.

GRANTED, the Barretts are one of firearms I drool over anytime it gets ANY air time.

It was a very well orchestrated show. A buddy of mine bought a barrett awhile back and has yet to shoot it. I think he is afraid of it. I am going to let him watch this episode. He got it for a song in our local free trading paper. I actually called about the gun as well, but he had beat me to the number and sealed the deal. :-\

I missed the last 15 minutes because my TiVo didn't record it for some reason or another.

I was very impressed by Barrett's level of instruction...by making 1000 yard shots seem "everyday," as opposed to something magical, the instructor created "instand rifle-women," so to speak. I learned a ton from just hanging around and wayching.

I was impressed enough that I'll be taking the Barrett 1000 yard course myself...when they offer one for men as well as women!

And PS...sadly, no, I don't yet own my own .50...but hey, they year is young...

Isnt the Whittington Center a jewel?  I am a life member of NRA and of the Whittington center, and live close by, at least by western standards.  150 miles is two hours drive, that's close.

I echo the previous comments on the show.  Keep us posted when you will be there again, and I would love to come over and observe and give your hand a shake.
