Title: difference in the Ruger 10/22 Giveaway gun and the Remington 597 Yellow jacket

Hi guys.
      I wanted that Ruger 10/22 that DRTV was giving away, but didn't get it( like everyone else save ONE. oh well. But my wife got me the Remington 597 Yellow Jacket. The Stock is the exact same, I guess it was just fitted with a Ruger.Does anyone know this to be true. And if you'll excuse for my ignorance, waht makes a .22 a 10/22. Just one of those things I never learned.

10/22 is the model number/name of the Ruger Semi-automatc .22 LR rifle. Just like Your Remington is a model 597. And my Taurus pump action .22 is called a model 62, etc........
