Title: How to Teach Your Girlfriend to Hate Guns..............

Please have a look at this video submitted via "Front Sight, Press" and read on beyond the video. I've got to say.......this video kind of looks like Michael shooting that big bore snubby the other night on Shooting Gallery. The one that he fired up with CorBon Grizzly loads.

Post by: Hazcat on January 05, 2008, 11:16:16 AM: I have seen this before and we have all heard the stories about idiots giving their Ladies a huge handgun or rifle to shoot for the first time. Same often happens with kids when Dad gives his 6 year old a 12 gauge to fire.

All of these type fools should beat severely and repeatedly about the head!

A Ruger GP-100 with .38 Special loads and a six inch barrel should be more than gentle enough. If the grip's too big, the SP101 in .22 with a 4 inch barrel also should fit the bill.

Insert Pythons and 686's for the GP, and you can go up even to eight inches to make recoil be "what recoil?"

+1!! If I ever saw someone do this to a inexperienced shooter I would not be able to control myself!!! It would not be pretty!!!

Reminds me of the news article I saw a couple years back about a guy letting his first grader son shoot a Ruger Super Redhawk .454, which recoiled enough to bash his head in and kill him. It's shamefull and makes us look like a bunch of careless slack-jawed morons/jerks!

While this is certainly irresponsible gun handling, I do not think people can have it both ways.

The young lady did not look completely inexperienced and to a certain extent, the men involved seemed to want to treat her as an equal.

The fact they were nimcompoops to treat anyone like that is more a comment on their behaviour than hers.

If people want to get upset about the treatment of novice shooters this video is much more to the point and even though it does involve a young lady any one who experienced that type of "training" could be forgiven if they developed a lifelong flinch.

What kinda of idiots would teach or train that girl like that? I did not like it at all. That's the perfect kind of video to turn people off of guns and shooting sports. 99% of the gun owners I know would never do something like that or allow it to happen.
