Title: Cat 9 disassembly
Post by: walipro1 on March 06, 2010, 12:06:25 PM
I recently acquired a Intatec cat 9 from my son. Me I'm a Para Ordnance P14 fan my self. This gun is new out of the box but no manual came with it. Is their some one out the that can explain to me how to disassemble it for cleaning. I sure as hell can figure it out. If it was my PO I could take it apart blind folded.

Welcome walipro, Last one I briefly had that a friend bought, kinda exits at the rear of the slide.

There are some pics and advice on this forum link, that might help.

Manuals are available at ebay for 5.00 bucks

They had some recalls, and can be finicky. Hope this helps.

INTRATEC
MODEL CAT-9,
9MM LUGER CALIBER, PISTOL

RECALL: These pistols bearing serial numbers 00001 to 003122 are being recalled due to improper brazing on the slides which can cause the pistol to jam in an open position so that no more shots can be fired. The CAT 9 was introduced in late 1992 however, production delays kept the gun from hitting the market until 1994. For further information contact;

OK I see the pics. I'm a 1911 style kind of guy, I was trying to take the pin out of the side. I take it, that it is a screw on top the must come out. And My serial # is higher than the recall. That scared me. I this I'll pice up a manual on e bay Thank you. Jeff

Those things have a horrible trigger! My dad had one in .45 years ago. He never fired it, and later traded it toward an AK.  ;D
