Worked the Dallas, Market hall gunshow the last 2 days and got to handle the Ruger Charger, both versions had a bipod attached, but even then it still felt manageable. Listed at 299.00, as usual, I'll wait til the price drops, but the pistol was very nice. The stock was very well done, and the grip was very good. I got some, what in the world does that do for you, comments from my friends, and they have a point, but still it is cooler than I thought. Just have to design a holster around it.......

Bi pod might make that tricky, but they DID come up with a holster for long barrel, scoped Contenders, so I guess anything is possible :)

Checked one out at a gunshow here in NH 2 or 3 dealers had them. Rugers new marketing plan of only announcing what they can deliver seems to be working good. Seems handier than it may sound, About like a TC Contender size wise. still think the bi pod is a bit much.

They need to have an option for a (foldable) forend pistol grip instead of the bi pod.

If I wanted a Charger I wouldn't wait too long. It may not be in the catalog long. Such "handguns" have come and gone in the past. The Savaga bolt action strikers, Remington XP100, and others are long gone. Ruger has become ruthless in dropping poor selling items from the catalog too.

Handled the Charger today for the first time. Can you say front heavy? That bipod is more than needed.
I actually went in to see the new Ruger LCD, but they don't have them yet, they are on order, got the SR9 within 2 days of the announcement, so I'm hoping. While there, the shop owner tripled his order with his distributor on the phone after I inquired about it and then a caller asked if they had one in.

I am a holster maker and I need some ideas on whow to make a holster for the charger,I want to be the first to make one ;D

I don't think we will see a forward grip (legal reasons). But the Charger looks like the ideal gun to keep behind the pickup seat or in a tractor(where legal) although it would be even better for this purpose if it was a 22WMR. It still should work pretty well when using the 60gr SSS load(if it stabilizes) or CCI's new subsonic QuikShot load(with its long name). Would be really nice with a suppressor (tactical solutions). Does anyone know if Tactical Solutions supressor system is compatible with the SSS load(most aren't.)
